Death of former Grammar School director Michalis Azas

Michalis Azas, a long-time educator and former director of the Grammar School, has died at the age of 73. During his career, he served the school for more than 43 years, contributing significantly to its development. He was also an active member of the Diastasi Cultural Association. In honor of his memory, the Grammar School will remain closed on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The funeral service will take place on the same day at 2:00 PM at the Church of Saint Nicholas in Limassol. The school community expressed deep sorrow over the loss of a figure who played a central role in its history for several decades.
