Ukraine offers assistance to counter Iranian-designed drones
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine has received 11 requests from various nations, including European countries, neighbors of Iran, and the United States, for assistance regarding drone interception, electronic warfare systems, and military training. This initiative follows the need to counter Shahed drones and similar aerial threats. In a separate report, it was stated that Ukraine has dispatched a specialized team and interception drones to protect U.S. military bases in Jordan, allegedly following a request made on March 5. While the Ukrainian leadership claims that specific support has already been provided to several countries, the White House has not officially confirmed whether it requested such assistance from Ukraine. Kiev is utilizing its extensive experience with Russian-used Iranian-designed drones to support allied forces in the Middle East. The Ukrainian government views this cooperation as a means to share technical expertise and potentially strengthen its international standing. Reports regarding the deployment to Jordan remain unverified by U.S. official sources. The situation highlights the intersection of the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East regarding shared drone technologies.
