Voter registration deadline set for Cyprus parliamentary elections
The Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Cyprus has announced that the deadline for voter registration for the upcoming parliamentary elections on May 24, 2026, is April 2, 2026. All citizens aged 18 and older who have been permanent residents of the country for at least six months are eligible to register. Young individuals reaching the age of 18 by the election date may also register if they submit their applications during the final quarterly revision period, which runs from January 3, 2026, to April 2, 2026. Additionally, Turkish Cypriot citizens holding Republic of Cyprus identification and residing in government-controlled areas are entitled to register. After the April 2 deadline, no new registrations or changes to the electoral roll will be permitted. Citizens aged 25 and under may submit their applications electronically via the website elections.gov.cy. For all other applicants and those preferring paper forms, documentation can be submitted at District Administration Offices, Citizen Service Centres (KEP), and Cyprus Post Citizen Centres (KE.PO.).
