President Christodoulides holds dialogue with Larnaca students

President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides participated in an open dialogue with secondary school students in Larnaca. The event, held at the Pancyprian Lyceum of Larnaca, was titled 'Cyprus at the helm of Europe: Youth participating – Democracy leads.' During the session, the President addressed various topics including the Cyprus problem, developments in the Middle East, and Cyprus's role within the European Union. He emphasized that EU membership remains the most significant diplomatic achievement for Cyprus since 1960. Christodoulides noted that the country's legislative process is heavily influenced by EU law, necessitating active participation from citizens. Furthermore, he discussed local issues such as unemployment and ongoing development projects in the city of Larnaca. The event also highlighted the collaboration between the European Parliament and local schools as a successful initiative for engaging youth.
