Tufan Erhurman comments on the deployment of six Turkish F-16s to Cyprus

Following the arrival of six Turkish F-16 fighter jets and air defense systems at the Gecitkale airport (referred to by some sources as the illegal Ercan airport), Tufan Erhurman issued a statement regarding regional military tensions. Erhurman addressed criticisms from Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, who had categorized the deployment as an aggressive move against Europe. Conversely, Turkish officials stated the move was intended to strengthen the security of Turkish Cypriots.
