UCLan Cyprus launches fashion design competition for technical school students
The School of Arts, Media & Communication at UCLan Cyprus has introduced a new fashion design competition aimed at students from technical schools in Nicosia, Limassol, and Larnaca. Participants visited the university campus to engage in specialized fashion workshops led by the institution's academic team. The initiative is designed to identify and support emerging creative talent by bridging secondary and higher education. The winner of the competition will receive the opportunity to showcase their work at the UCLan Cyprus Fashion Show during Athens Fashion Week 2026. This platform intends to provide students with exposure to industry professionals, including designers and media representatives. The project highlights a collaborative effort between the university and the broader educational ecosystem in Cyprus. By extending participation beyond university students, the program seeks to facilitate a smoother transition into the professional fashion industry.
