Arrest after Larnaca apartment fire and building collapse in Nicosia

Meanwhile, in Nicosia, a portion of a building on Apollonos Street collapsed on Sunday evening, damaging a nearby parked car. The EOA of Nicosia stated the building was not previously registered as dangerous, but initial indications suggest the collapse was due to lack of maintenance. Emergency teams, including K9 units, confirmed no one was trapped under the rubble. The EOA is now inspecting surrounding properties to ensure structural safety.
