Two arrests in Paphos following motorcycle theft and assault

On March 8, a 27-year-old man reported that his motorcycle had been stolen from outside his apartment building in Paphos. Later that day, at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Evagora Pallikaridi Street, the victim located his vehicle and attempted to retrieve it. He was subsequently attacked by two individuals who struck him, knocked him to the ground, and fled on the motorcycle. The victim managed to intercept one of the suspects, who was identified by police as a 31-year-old man and arrested. On March 9, the Paphos District Court remanded the 31-year-old into custody for four days to facilitate the investigation. Following further inquiries, police arrested a second suspect, a 38-year-old man, on an unspecified date. The 31-year-old faces charges including conspiracy to commit a felony, robbery, theft, assault causing actual bodily harm, and malicious damage. The victim received medical treatment at Paphos General Hospital for a scalp hematoma and abrasions.
