Cypriot athlete Maria Markou wins two bronze medals at European Para Powerlifting Championships

Cypriot Paralympian Maria Markou competed in the -73kg category at the Para Powerlifting European Open Championships held in Tbilisi. She secured third place in both the 'Best Lift' and 'Total' categories. During the competition, Markou set a new national record for Cyprus with successful lifts of 98kg, 103kg, and 106kg. The Cyprus National Paralympic Committee officially recognized these achievements. Her performance marks a milestone for Cypriot Paralympic sports. The athlete demonstrated consistent progress across all three attempts, concluding with a 106kg lift.
