Two separate road accidents reported in Limassol district

Two distinct traffic incidents occurred in the Limassol district on Sunday. In the first incident, reported at 05:58, a driver was trapped inside an overturned vehicle on the Limassol-Alassa road. The Agios Ioannis firefighting station successfully rescued the individual using specialized equipment, and the victim was transported to the Limassol General Hospital. A separate collision occurred later inside the tunnel on the Paphos-Limassol highway. Authorities confirmed that this second incident resulted only in material damage and no injuries were reported. The collision led to the temporary closure of the right lane within the tunnel to facilitate traffic management. The lane has since been reopened, and normal traffic flow has been restored. Police advised drivers to exercise caution and follow instructions from officers at the scene.
