Emmanouil Karalis wins pole vault event in Rouen

Greek athlete Emmanouil Karalis secured first place at the pole vault meeting in Rouen, France. The 24-year-old athlete successfully cleared the height of 6.06 meters on his first attempt. Following his victory, Karalis attempted to clear 6.20 meters twice, which would have set a new national record for Greece. He failed both attempts, with his best effort seeing the bar fall after contact with his chest.
