AEK Athens secures victory against AEL Novibet

AEK Athens defeated AEL Novibet 1-0 in the 24th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League at the Allwyn Arena. The only goal of the match was scored by Moukoudi in the 5th minute. In the second half, AEK’s Jovic missed a penalty, which was saved by goalkeeper Anagnostopoulos. The match was attended by 30,000 AEK fans and 500 AEL supporters. Following this result, AEK sits in first place with 56 points, three points ahead of Olympiacos and PAOK, who are scheduled to play each other on Sunday. AEL remains in 12th place with 21 points, level with Panetolikos. There were disputed refereeing decisions, including a VAR intervention that overturned a penalty for AEK. AEK is now preparing for their upcoming Conference League match against Celje on March 12.
