Cyprus authorities seize over 6.7 kilograms of cannabis in postal package

On February 25, the Cyprus Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) seized a postal package containing 6.722 kilograms of cannabis. The discovery was made during an inspection in Larnaca involving the Larnaca District Unit of YKAN and the Cyprus Customs Department. The drugs were hidden within six plastic packages inside the parcel. The operation followed international cooperation with authorities from the country of origin. The shipment was intercepted as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking. The Larnaca District Unit of YKAN is currently conducting further investigations into the case.
