Greek actor Christos Valavanidis dies at age 81 or 82
The prominent Greek actor and poet Christos Valavanidis passed away following a period of serious health issues. Valavanidis graduated from the National Theatre of Greece in 1973 and had a prolific career across ancient drama, comedy, operetta, and contemporary theatre. In 1996, he and his wife, Aspasia Kralli, established the 'Apo Michanis Theatro' in a renovated former factory. Before his death, the actor had been hospitalized at Laiko General Hospital due to heart-related complications. He had recently spoken publicly about his treatment and expressed gratitude toward the medical staff, while noting concerns regarding the condition of the hospital environment. He is survived by his wife, Aspasia, and his daughter, Katerina.
