Students from the Cyprus University of Technology Academy win 14 medals at culinary competition

Students from the Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Professionals of the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) participated in the South Europe Culinary Skills 2026 competition, held in Thessaloniki from February 26 to March 2, 2026. The event featured over 300 participants from 15 countries. The academy's team secured a total of 14 medals across 14 categories. Panagiotis Makris and Giannis Dimitriou won gold medals in the B7 Lamb and B10 Finger Food categories, respectively. The academy team, composed of Christos Christodoulou, Panagiotis Makris, and Giannis Dimitriou, placed second overall in the School of the Year category. Additionally, students received the 'Student Chef of the Year' title, with Christos Pampakas and Giannis Dimitriou also earning silver medals. Instructor Agathoklis Christou competed in the Chef of the Year category, winning one silver and two bronze medals among 12 international contestants.
