Nicosia to host the 25th European Throwing Cup in March 2026

The 25th European Throwing Cup is scheduled to take place at the GSP Stadium in Cyprus on March 14 and 15, 2026. The European Athletics Association announced the final participant lists on March 5, 2026, confirming that 35 countries will compete. A total of 284 athletes are registered, consisting of 147 men and 137 women. Several nations initially listed in December 2025, including Great Britain, Croatia, Latvia, Liechtenstein, and Turkey, have since withdrawn from the competition. Israel did not register for the event. Italian shot putter Leonardo Fabbri is among the notable athletes expected to participate. Admission to the event for spectators will be free of charge.
