FBI files detail sexual assault allegations against Donald Trump related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation
The United States Department of Justice released FBI records on Thursday concerning interviews conducted in 2019 with an unidentified woman during the investigation into the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. In these documents, the woman claims that Donald Trump attempted to force her to perform oral sex in New York or New Jersey during the 1980s, when she was between 13 and 15 years old. The woman also accused Epstein of sexually abusing her during the same period. The Justice Department stated these documents were previously omitted from public releases due to a clerical error that categorized them as duplicates. While the department chose to release the summaries in the interest of transparency, it issued a warning that some included unverified or sensationalized claims. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt dismissed the allegations as completely baseless and lacking credible evidence. The documents surfaced following inquiries by media outlets regarding previously undisclosed records.
