Ahead of the 2026 season opener in Melbourne this weekend, Aston Martin team principal and technical director Adrian Newey reported critical equipment shortages. The team is currently without backup batteries for their Honda power units. Furthermore, reports indicate that severe vibrations from the power units are being transmitted to the steering wheel. These vibrations reportedly pose a risk of neurological injury to drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll.
