Ministry of Culture of Cyprus announces corrective measures for grant programs

The Deputy Ministry of Culture of Cyprus has pledged to implement immediate corrective measures following significant delays in the announcement and evaluation of cultural grant programs. These delays have negatively impacted the operational planning of artists and cultural organizations. The Ministry acknowledged these disruptions and issued a statement shortly before a planned protest by local artists. The evaluation process for the 'Politismos' program is currently underway, with results expected to be released between early and late April. To increase transparency, the names of the grant evaluators will be published on Monday. Additionally, the Ministry announced the immediate launch of the 'Kypria' program, along with plans for international networking and theatrical operational support. Further programs, including cultural decentralization and support for religious minority activities, are scheduled for launch within March.
