Ukraine to share anti-drone expertise with international partners

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Wednesday that Ukraine has received requests from the United States, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait for assistance in countering Iranian-made Shahed drones. Ukraine possesses significant operational experience in intercepting these drones using cost-effective systems that can cost as little as $1,000. Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is prepared to provide equipment and technical expertise to these nations, provided it does not compromise domestic defense capabilities. The initiative aims to strengthen diplomatic leverage, with officials suggesting these exports could be linked to efforts to secure a ceasefire with Russia. EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas confirmed that discussions are underway to utilize Ukraine's drone defense experience in the Middle East. Meanwhile, the current regional security situation has caused a delay in US-brokered trilateral talks between Russia and Ukraine. Ukrainian officials emphasized that support will be offered to partners who actively contribute to Ukraine's security and civilian protection.
