OEB establishes new committee for education, training and talent attraction

The Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) has formally established a Committee for Education, Training, and Young Talent Attraction. The committee aims to align training policies with labor market needs and European standards to boost national economic competitiveness. It consists of representatives from various key economic sectors and organizations. The inaugural meeting was held under the chairmanship of Yiangos Hadjiyiannis to outline core action priorities. Key focus areas include positioning education as a competitiveness pillar, promoting vocational training, and facilitating lifelong learning. The committee will also prioritize strengthening the connection between businesses and educational institutions. Furthermore, it aims to develop initiatives to attract and retain young talent within the Cypriot workforce. This initiative is part of OEB's broader strategy to enhance human capital and support a modern, sustainable production model in Cyprus.
