Cyprus parliamentary election poll results
A poll conducted by MRC Cypronetwork for CyBC, released on March 5, surveyed 1,417 people between February 11 and 27 regarding upcoming parliamentary elections. The results for voting intention show DISY at 18% and AKEL at 17.5%, followed by ELAM at 12%, Alma at 8.5%, Direct Democracy at 7%, and DIKO at 6.5%. Smaller parties like Volt, EDEK, and the Movement of Ecologists are also being tracked, with some sources noting their potential to reach the 3.6% threshold. The study highlights high electoral volatility, as 35% of respondents will decide their vote during the campaign and 7% remain undecided. Regarding societal trust, 47% of voters believe the state is functioning worse than five years ago, while 35% express zero trust in state institutions. Political parties and the Parliament recorded the lowest trust ratings at 11% and 16% respectively. Interestingly, 29% identified the President as the most powerful figure, while 14% pointed to organized crime. While most participants stated an 86% intention to vote, 7% indicated they would not participate.
