Cyprus stock exchange trading report for Wednesday and Thursday
On Wednesday, the Cyprus Stock Exchange closed with a general index gain of 3.67% to 279.26 points, with a total trading volume of €1,178,166.19. Bank of Cyprus saw high interest, rising 4.83% to €9.12. However, the market saw a slight decline on Thursday, with the general index falling 0.26% to 278.53 points and a total trading volume of €326,795.76. On Thursday, seven stocks rose, eight fell, and five remained unchanged, with 132 transactions recorded compared to 369 on Wednesday. Thursday’s declines were seen in the Main Market and Investment Companies indices, while the Hotel and Alternative Market indices posted gains. Bank of Cyprus shares again attracted the most interest, closing at €9.02, down 1.1%. Additionally, the Cyprus Stock Exchange Council announced the delisting of D&S Anastopoulos S.A. from the Emerging Companies Market, acting under Article 178(1) of the Securities and Cyprus Stock Exchange Law.
