Markos Tragkolas announces candidacy for the Hunters' Movement

The Active Citizens - United Cypriot Hunters Movement has announced Markos Tragkolas as their 23rd candidate for the upcoming May parliamentary elections in the Famagusta district. Born in Famagusta on July 20, 1956, Tragkolas is a law graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He was a professional football player for Anorthosis Famagusta between 1973 and 1985 before pursuing a long career in the public service. Tragkolas served for 40 years in the Cyprus Fire Service, retiring as its Director. During his tenure, he coordinated major emergency responses, including the 2007 Peloponnese wildfire mission, the aftermath of the Mari explosion, and the recovery operations related to the serial killer known as Orestes. He has received recognition from the Presidents of Greece and Cyprus for his contributions to crisis management and emergency operations.
