Cyprus sports ethics committee releases investigation findings

The Cyprus Committee for Ethics and Sports Protection (EDPA) has concluded its investigation into the 2024-2025 season football match between Omonia 29is Maiou and AEL. Investigative officers found no evidence of misconduct, resulting in the case being officially archived. Additionally, the committee submitted a detailed report concerning the Swimming Federation to the Attorney General of the Republic, George L. Savvides. The report was delivered by EDPA President Stefanos Skordis at the Legal Service offices. It contains findings from a specially appointed investigator regarding potential conflicts of interest and legislative violations within the federation. The Legal Service is now evaluating the documents to determine if a formal criminal investigation is warranted. The committee publicly thanked the investigative officers for their professional work on these matters.
