Joan Laporta and Victor Font qualify for FC Barcelona presidential election

On March 5, 2026, FC Barcelona officially confirmed that Joan Laporta and Victor Font have qualified as the final candidates for the club's presidential election. To participate, candidates were required to collect at least 2,337 valid signatures. Joan Laporta submitted 8,170 total signatures, with 7,226 verified as valid. Victor Font submitted 5,144 signatures, of which 4,440 were validated. A third candidate, Marc Ciria, failed to meet the threshold after submitting only 2,247 valid signatures out of the 2,844 he collected. Following their qualification, both candidates will run election campaigns from March 6 to March 13. The final election is scheduled to take place on March 15, 2026.
