Cyprus Olympic Committee signs gold sponsorship agreement with Petrolina

On March 5, 2026, the Cyprus Olympic Committee (COC) and the company Petrolina officially signed a sponsorship agreement at Petrolina's headquarters in Larnaca. Under the terms of the deal, Petrolina has been designated as a 'Gold Partner' for the 2025–2028 period. The collaboration aims to support Cypriot athletes in their preparations for the 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles. COC President George Chrysostomou and representatives of the Lefkaritis family, which owns the company, attended the signing event. During the ceremony, the committee showcased artifacts from the Cyprus Olympic Committee Museum to highlight the nation's sporting history. Chrysostomou emphasized that the partnership is rooted in shared values and Petrolina's long-standing history of supporting sports and education. The event concluded with an appeal to continue fostering the connection between sporting performance and social contributions.
