Official launch of the Cyprus Institute of Directors & Corporate Governance

The Cyprus Institute of Directors & Corporate Governance (CyIoDCG) will officially launch on Monday, March 9, 2026. The event is scheduled from 15:00 to 17:30 at the Bank of Cyprus headquarters auditorium in Nicosia. The organization intends to serve as a professional body focused on enhancing corporate governance standards and the institutional role of Boards of Directors in Cyprus. Professor Ludo Van der Heyden, Emeritus Professor at INSEAD and Distinguished Scholar at IMD, will deliver the keynote speech titled 'Why Governance Matters Always. The Role of Directors.' His address will explore the importance of governance during both growth and crisis, emphasizing values, ethical leadership, and independent judgment. The speaker plans to draw on international experiences from the United States, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Ukraine, and other nations to address strategic dilemmas. This new institute aims to function as a reference point for effective directorship and modern business practices within the region.
