Cyprus U-19 women's national team defeats San Marino 3-2

In the final match of the UEFA European Women's Under-19 Championship qualifying round (Group B1, League B) held in San Marino, the Cyprus national team defeated the hosts 3-2. Cyprus took the lead in the 2nd minute through Anastasia Mesolongitou, followed by a goal from Anna Matsoukari in the 38th minute. Mesolongitou scored her second goal in the 50th minute, bringing the score to 3-0. San Marino replied with a goal from Paona in the 60th minute and a penalty kick converted by Benedettini in the 81st minute. Cyprus finished third in the group standings. In the other group match, Slovenia defeated Estonia 5-0 to finish in first place. The team was managed by Savvas Sofokleous.
