Cyprus defeats San Marino 3-2 in U19 women's European championship qualifier
The Cyprus U19 women's national team defeated San Marino 3-2 in their final match of the European Championship qualifying tournament held in San Marino. Cyprus took a 3-0 lead with goals from Anastasia Mesologgitou in the 2nd and 50th minutes, and Anna Matsoukari in the 38th minute. San Marino responded with goals from Paona in the 60th minute and a penalty by Benedettini in the 81st minute. Cyprus finished in third place in Group B1 of League B. Slovenia topped the group after defeating Estonia 5-0 in their final fixture. The other group results included a 2-0 win for Slovenia over Cyprus, a 1-0 victory for Estonia against San Marino, a 1-0 win for Estonia over Cyprus, and a 7-1 win for Slovenia over San Marino. Cyprus coach Savvas Sofokleous utilized a starting lineup including Hatzichristodoulou, Ellina, Fotiou, Georgiou, Vlachou, Matsoukari, Eleftheriou, Tsoukka, Michail, Mesologgitou, and Mylonas.
