Actor Vasilis Bisbikis discusses his troubled youth

In a recent interview with Athens Voice and reporter Dimitris Athanasiadis, Greek actor Vasilis Bisbikis reflected on his challenging adolescent years. He recalled an incident from when he was ten years old, where he hit another child during a play-fight, causing the boy to lose consciousness and leaving him fearful that he had caused a death. The actor noted that despite the severity of the moment, the two boys returned to playing football together the next day. Beyond this specific incident, Bisbikis spoke about a period of his life characterized by what he described as rough behavior and instability. He revealed that he lived a somewhat aimless life in Athens during that time and admitted to using substances. Additionally, he shared that he did not complete his formal schooling. The actor reflected on these experiences as formative, albeit difficult, parts of his past.
