European nations deploy naval assets to protect Cyprus

Italy, France, Spain, and the Netherlands have announced the deployment of naval assets to protect Cyprus following an attack on the island. Italian Defence Minister Guido Crosetto confirmed the multilateral naval mission to the Italian parliament on March 5, 2026.
