Two separate criminal cases reported in Limassol
On Friday, a masked man committed an armed robbery at a kiosk in Germasogeia, Limassol, around 5:15 p.m. The suspect, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a medical mask, threatened a 48-year-old female employee with a knife and stole cash from both the kiosk register and an integrated currency exchange booth before fleeing the scene. The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is currently investigating the incident. In a separate event, a 27-year-old man was arrested for stealing a handbag containing €8,200 and personal documents from an unlocked car belonging to a 68-year-old woman. This theft occurred around 2:15 p.m. on the same day in Limassol. Police tracked down the 27-year-old by 7:00 p.m. the same day, discovering €7,780 in his possession along with the victim's mobile phone. The suspect remains in custody as the CID continues its investigation into the theft.
