27-year-old arrested in Limassol for theft from unlocked vehicle

A 68-year-old woman from Limassol reported the theft of her handbag from her unlocked, parked car at approximately 2:15 p.m. yesterday. The bag contained €8,200 in cash and various personal documents. Police investigation led to the identification of a 27-year-old suspect. At around 7 p.m. the same day, officers located and searched the man in Limassol. During the search, they recovered €7,780 in cash and a mobile phone belonging to the complainant. The 27-year-old was arrested on the spot and remains in police custody. The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is continuing the investigation into the matter.
