Simultaneously, the United States has reportedly engaged in naval operations that resulted in the sinking of more than 20 Iranian vessels. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that the U.S. military expects to secure full control over Iranian airspace within the coming hours, a goal echoed earlier by U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.
