Flight cancellations at Cyprus airports due to Middle East tensions
Recent geopolitical developments in the Middle East have led to significant flight disruptions at Cyprus airports. On Thursday, Larnaca International Airport reported the cancellation of 37 flights, consisting of 18 arrivals and 19 departures to destinations including Israel, Lebanon, the UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain. Previously, on Wednesday, 32 flights were reported cancelled at the same airport. Paphos International Airport has experienced fewer disruptions, with reports varying between one and four cancellations depending on the timeframe. These affected flights were primarily linked to routes connecting to Haifa and Tel Aviv. Authorities and airline operators are closely monitoring the security situation in the region. Passengers are advised to contact their airlines or travel agents for real-time flight updates before arriving at the airports.
