Arrest of father in Limassol attempted murder case

On Sunday afternoon, police arrested a 56-year-old Syrian man in Limassol for alleged complicity in the attempted murder of a 36-year-old Syrian national on December 20. The incident occurred on Anexartisias Street, where the victim was attacked with tasers and stabbed in the shoulder. The two primary suspects, the arrested man's sons aged 20 and 30, were previously apprehended after a maritime pursuit near Ormideia while attempting to flee the country. Investigators allege the father purchased a large boat to facilitate their escape and attempted to sell a Mercedes vehicle used during the crime.
