Xeros and Diarizos claim a place on the UNESCO world map

Environmental Commissioner Antonia Theodosiou announced the start of the candidacy process to include the Xeros and Diarizos river valleys in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves. This collaborative project aims to promote sustainable development and ecosystem protection within local communities by mid-2027.
