Real Madrid defeats Real Sociedad 4-1 to lead La Liga standings

Real Madrid secured a 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabéu during the 24th matchday of La Liga. Gonzalo Garcia opened the scoring for the home side following a cross from Trent Alexander-Arnold. Real Sociedad equalized in the 21st minute through a Mikel Oyarzabal penalty. Shortly after, Jon Aramburu conceded a penalty which Vinicius Junior converted in the 25th minute. Federico Valverde increased the lead to 3-1 in the 31st minute. In the 48th minute, Aramburu conceded a second penalty, and Vinicius Junior scored again to set the final score at 4-1. A late goal by Vinicius Junior was disallowed for offside. With this result, Real Madrid reaches 60 points, moving two points ahead of Barcelona, who play Girona on February 16.
