Nine arrested in Larnaca drug and weapons operation

On February 14, 2026, the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) conducted a coordinated operation in Larnaca involving 27 officers. The operation targeted criminal groups involved in the distribution and trade of large quantities of narcotics. During the raids, police searched residential properties, business premises, and vehicles, resulting in the arrest of nine individuals. Authorities seized approximately 400 grams of cocaine and 150 grams of cannabis. Additional items confiscated included precision scales, ten mobile phones, and three vehicles. Officers also found a pistol equipped with a silencer and another firearm. A total of 9,605 euros in cash was discovered during the searches. YKAN Larnaca is continuing its investigation, which will include a financial probe into the origins of the seized assets.
