Weather forecast for Cyprus through Wednesday

A weak high-pressure system is gradually establishing itself over the region, replacing a low-pressure system that previously affected the island. Dust is expected to enter the atmosphere on Monday and should clear by Tuesday. On Saturday and Sunday, weather conditions will remain mostly clear with inland and coastal temperatures reaching approximately 20°C. Nighttime temperatures are forecast to drop to around 7-8°C inland and 4°C in the higher mountains. Winds will generally blow at 3 to 4 Beaufort, although gusts reached up to 6 Beaufort earlier on Saturday. One source reported light sleet or snow on the highest peaks of the Troodos mountains on Saturday morning. By Monday, temperatures will rise above seasonal averages before a change in weather patterns on Tuesday. Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to bring increased cloud cover, isolated showers, and potential thunderstorms, which should ease by late Wednesday afternoon.
