Three new Pan-Cypriot records set at Paiania indoor athletics meeting

On February 14, 2026, 28 Cypriot athletes participated in the Indoor Athletics Meeting held in Paiania, Greece. Three new Pan-Cypriot records were established during the event, with most participants recording personal bests. Olivia Fotopoulou broke her own national record in the women's 200m with a time of 23.07, placing her 15th globally this year. In the U20 60m category, Antonis Katsantonis set a new record of 6.69 seconds, while 14-year-old Marilena Papanicolaou improved the U18 long jump record to 5.69 meters. Milan Trajkovic won the 60m hurdles in 7.60 seconds, improving his seasonal performance prior to the World Indoor Championships in Torun. Notable performances also came from Petros Michaelides with 19.30m in shot put and Ioannis Andreou who recorded the third-best historical time in the 200m with 21.52s.
