EDEK announces 19 candidates for Nicosia district in upcoming parliamentary elections

The Movement for Social Democracy (EDEK) has released its first list of candidates for the parliamentary elections scheduled for May, focusing on the Nicosia district. The ballot includes a total of 19 individuals, comprising both experienced party officials and younger representatives from various professional backgrounds. Key figures on the list include Deputy President Morphakis Solomonidis and Vice President Pampos Christodoulou. Other notable candidates include Sofia Christodoulou, President of EDEK Youth, and Takis Christodoulou, President of the New Agrarian Movement. The professional diversity of the group spans legal, educational, business, and agricultural sectors. Among the candidates are also individuals from the arts, real estate, and student organizations, such as actress Kyriaki Manousaki and student Marios Tsianakkas. This announcement marks the beginning of the party's formal campaign for the upcoming legislative vote.
