Ukrainian missile attack on Belgorod kills two and damages infrastructure

On Friday, a Ukrainian missile attack struck the Russian city of Belgorod, located approximately 40 km from the border. Regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported that two men were killed at an infrastructure site within the city. Three other individuals were injured and transported to the hospital, with one reportedly in serious condition. The attack caused significant damage to energy facilities, resulting in disruptions to electricity, heating, and water supplies. Additionally, three apartment buildings sustained damage during the strike. Residents reported hearing a series of loud explosions, and local air defenses were reportedly active. This incident is part of a series of frequent cross-border attacks reported in the region since February 2022.
