Assessment of Paphos digital tourism campaign and future goals
The Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Tourism and private sector stakeholders held an event to evaluate the digital marketing campaign for the Paphos region. Deputy Minister Kostas Koumis stated that the ongoing public-private partnership has yielded effective results over recent years. The meeting aimed to review the latest campaign and exchange views on strategies for the coming years. For the 2024 and 2025 seasons, the primary objective is to maintain the high levels of tourist arrivals and revenue achieved previously. Koumis identified climate change as the most significant challenge, describing it as both a problem and an opportunity for the sector. He emphasized the need for collective action between the public and private sectors to address environmental impacts. The ministry's strategy also focuses on specific target markets, including the Middle East.
