Cyprus U-16 match against Wales interrupted due to heavy rain

The UEFA Development Tournament match between Cyprus and Wales U-16s at Geroskipou Municipal Stadium was abandoned in the 50th minute. Heavy rain rendered the pitch unplayable, forcing officials to halt the game while Cyprus held a 1-0 lead following a goal by Giorgis Charalambous in the 46th minute. This tournament is organized by the Cyprus Football Association (CFA) in collaboration with UEFA in the Paphos region. Earlier in the competition, Cyprus suffered a 1-4 defeat against Scotland, while Romania beat Wales 2-0. In the second round, Scotland also defeated Romania 2-1. The final matchday is scheduled for February 16, featuring Cyprus against Romania and Wales against Scotland. Cyprus coach Arsen Mihajlovic had started the interrupted match with a lineup including Vasiliou, Lytras, and Charalambous.
