Erasmus+ EAGLE project holds technical training in Spain and Cyprus
The Erasmus+ project EAGLE, focused on enhancing e-learning in East African conflict regions, conducted technical training sessions in Valencia and Nicosia in January 2026. This initiative is funded by the European Union and spans from January 2025 until at least January 2027. Project partners include the Universitat Politècnica de València as lead, the University of Nicosia, and several institutions from Kenya and South Sudan. Training in Europe followed a ten-day session held in Nairobi, Kenya, in May 2025. The program prioritizes digital transformation and sustainable development to address challenges like political instability and civil war in the region. Participating South Sudanese entities include the Ministry of Higher Education and various colleges such as Comboni and St. Mary’s. Following these sessions, African partners will focus on upgrading their computing systems. Sources provide slightly different end dates for the project, citing either January or late 2027.
