DIPA announces three additional candidates for 2026 parliamentary elections

The Democratic Alignment (DIPA) party has announced its fourth group of candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for May 2026. The new group includes three individuals from the fields of science, education, and business. Iliana Kleanthous, a surgeon dentist in the public health sector, will run as a merit-based (aristindin) candidate in the Limassol district. Kleanthous is the daughter of Kleanthis Kleanthous, who died in the line of duty during the 2011 naval base explosion in Mari. Thanos Chrysanthous, a philologist, has been named as a merit-based candidate for the Paphos district. Additionally, businessman and municipal councilor Efklidis Ambrosiadis will contest a seat in the Paphos district. The party stated that these appointments are part of a methodical process to diversify its ballot with professionals and active social members. These candidates are expected to bring technical expertise and professional experience to the public dialogue ahead of the elections.
