Adamantini Kosmas crowned queen of Famagusta carnival 2026 in Paralimni

The coronation ceremony for the 2026 Famagusta Carnival Queen, Adamantini Kosmas, took place on Thursday night at Ayios Georgios square in Paralimni. During the event, the carnival sceptre was symbolically handed over by the 2025 King, Alkis Christou. George Nikolettos, the mayor of Paralimni-Deryneia, addressed the gathering and credited municipal council members, staff, and volunteers for organizing the upcoming festivities. The carnival program for this year is designed to include musical activities and traditional events suitable for all age groups. According to the official announcement, the celebrations are scheduled to run from February 12 to February 23, 2026. The series of events will culminate in the Grand Famagusta Carnival Parade. Local authorities have invited residents and visitors to participate in the festivities to support the cultural and social character of the region. The municipality emphasized that the event continues to grow as a significant regional celebration blending entertainment with long-standing customs.
