EU Ministers discuss fair employment at informal summit in Nicosia

Marinos Mousiouttas, the Cypriot Minister of Labour and Social Insurance, addressed the informal meeting of EU Ministers for Employment and Social Affairs (EPSCO) on Friday, February 13. The summit took place in Nicosia and focused on fair employment as a fundamental pillar of social justice. Mousiouttas highlighted that the meeting occurs during a critical period for European labor markets facing significant transitions. Key challenges identified during the session include digitalization, artificial intelligence, the green transition, and demographic developments. The minister emphasized that these changes require a fair adjustment and social justice rather than fragmentation or inaction.
